Cycling by the Scharmützelsee

3-LakeTour (approx. 50 km)

The 3-lake tour takes you round the Scharmützelsee and its little brother, the Großer Storkower See, as well as round the Großer Glubigsee

» Start/Destination: Schlosspark Bad Saarow
» via: Bad Saarow, Wendisch Rietz, Storkow, Diensdorf Radlow
» Bike hire: at our reception

The Eagle meets the Zander (approx. 34 km)

It doesn’t get any fresher than this: zander, eels, pike, or carp which moments earlier were swimming in the clear lake water are served up to guests in the restaurant, at the takeaway stand, or the fishmonger’s van. Other fish species come to your plate directly from the smoke house. If you would like to sample such wonderful fresh fish in combination with a cycle ride through a beautiful landscape, then the “Eagle meets the Zander” tour is just right for you. There is no shortage of opportunities to sample the local fish around the Storkower See and the Scharmützelsee. Alongside eating and cycling, the flat landscape traversed by this tour also provides plenty of time for nature-watching. The ospreys are particularly impressive, with their broad wingspan and skilful hunting on the lake.

» Our recommendation for fresh fish: Fischland Scharmützelsee in Wendisch Rietz or the Fisch-Haus in Wendisch Rietz

Great Devil’s Tour (approx. 53 km)

This tour, which leads cyclists through the landscape surrounding the Storkower See and the Groß-Schauener chain of lakes, starts and ends by the museum for cycling curiosities created by the bike designer and “El Diablo” Tour de France companion Didi Senft in Storkow/Neu Boston. At the Groß Schauener See, the “Heinz Sielmann Foundation” invites you to admire and learn about the breath-taking landscape. Following a refreshing dip or two along the way, you arrive back at your starting point after a 53 km round trip.
» Way markers: the “Didi Senft Logo” against a white background serves as a way marker.
