The Schlosspark gardens are set directly on Lake Scharmützel, Brandenburg’s largest lake. It’s hard to believe there’s such a glorious stretch of nature just one hour’s drive away from the vibrant city of Berlin. Undulating hills, forests, enchanting lakes and natural habitats – so unique that German king Frederick the Second had a palace built here. He named it “Theresienhof”, after a lady he worshipped. The palace unfortunately no longer exists, but the royal grounds were, are and will always be one of the most stunning spots at Lake Scharmützel. And today we are welcoming you to this very place.

Bad Saarow is enchanting, and it’s classy. Bad Saarow has so much to offer, it actually developed into a centre of social life for Berlin and its surroundings.
